Taking this theme as a reference this paper is aimed to analyze the patterns of socio-political interaction in relation to the securitization of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada and Brazil through a constructivist approach. The methodological basis of this research is characterized by an exploratory and descriptive nature according to its ends and as well as quali-quantitative to its means which is instrumentalized by the use of a comparative method and a discursive historical-theoretical-deductive logic. The results of the research indicate that the dynamics of national and international relations have become permeated during the pandemic by Lockean (competitive), Hobbesian (conflictive) and Kantian (consensual) the patterns of interaction due to an asymmetrical field of power that turns out to be more complex. It is concluded based on the results presented in the text that the interactional dynamics reported by Canada and Brazil demonstrate the convergence towards a negative apprehension of the COVID-19 pandemic in the social structure despite the different historical trajectories constructed on a Kantian pattern of relative consensus related to the decision-making processes in Canada in comparison to the Hobbesian pattern of intranational and international conflicts materialized in Brazil.
With the increasing digitization of society and Public Administration, new discussions emerged regarding the use of digital data, regulated by the recent Brazilian Data Protection Law (LGPD). A current concern is the security vulnerability of this data, threatened by cybercrimes such as ransomware. Given this, this research seeks to analyze the possibilities of accountability of the Public Administration in data processing, focusing on the preventive aspect of cybersecurity. The methodology is based on a literature review. In conclusion, it was found that ransomware is a threat to Brazilian cybersecurity and requires the adoption of instruments of international cooperation. It is necessary to be aware of the possible implications of ransomware on the LGPD, especially concerning public data management. Preventive investment in cybersecurity is one of the pillars of the LGPD, which may also lead to sanctions directed at public entities in case of non-compliance with the law.
Luciano Vaz-Ferreira Filipe Bach Rodrigues Copyright (c) 2021 Luciano Vaz-Ferreira, Filipe Bach Rodrigues https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2021-09-19 2021-09-19 18 35 34 44 10.5281/zenodo.5515726 A Geopolítica asiática e, no seu contexto, a Geopolítica da República Popular da China https://revistaintellector.cenegri.org.br/index.php/intellector/article/view/353
This study analize about the following points: the Critical Geopolitcs and how that has been seeing in post modernity world. However, his actions in the field of international economic relations appear to be more ambiguous. For this reason, this paper aims to characterize the international economic policy of Brazil during the first two years of President Jair Bolsonaro's adminstration, in general, and, specifically, in relation to South America. The novelty of this study lies in the approach to the subject through the interrelation between the geopolitical approach and the international economic policy of the aforementioned president.
Georgina Németh Lesznova Copyright (c) 2021 Georgina Németh Lesznova https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2021-09-19 2021-09-19 18 35 72 84 10.5281/zenodo.5516648
